5.1 Channel Stereo Systems – Extreme Audio For DVDs
Ever wonder what it would be like to watch the same movie you just viewed with a home theater system? It takes you to a whole new level of excitement. And most importantly, it can suck you into the movie like never before.
Every system must have a powered receiver. Your DVD player or other video playing device is plugged into this unit, at which point the receiver will amplify the sound and send it to the speakers. Most receivers also have inputs for other audio/video devices as well.
In order to make sure you hear people talking clearly, a center channel speaker should be used. It can be placed in a center position where your television is at. Most receivers will allow you to adjust the speaker volume so whom ever is speaking is not too loud.
Your front speakers can be placed a few feet to the left and right hand sides of your TV. If any action is happening in front of you on the screen, these speakers will allow you to hear it. For instance, if a car crash happens up the road, these speakers will play all of it’s detail.
Now it’s time to hear everything that’s happening behind you. This is where you need rear/satellite speakers. If you’re watching an action movie and a plane is about to fly overhead from behind, you’ll hear the plane coming in the distance. It’s makes you feel like you’re in the movie.
Although all of the above speakers will brilliantly improve anything you watch on your TV, a subwoofer is also a must. This will make you feel anything in the audio that has low frequencies. For example, if a car crashes, the subwoofer is going to make you feel it throughout your body. It’s almost as if it’s truly happening right in your living room.
Blu-ray looks astonishing and sounds even better with cheap home theater systems. Entertain guests with cheap home stereo systems.
