Dan in Real Life

When this movie came out in the theater I had no real desire to run out and see it. When this movie came out on DVD I had to real desire to run out and see it. Since I was already sitting on the couch and the DVD was put into the DVD player, I watched it. Now I wished I had done something else.
I’m a pretty big Steve Carell fan. He’s great in The Office, of course. I thought he was great in The 40 Year Old Virgin and good in Evan Almighty. I guess every actor draws a short straw on occasion and this must have been his turn.
For those that haven’t seen the movie, or know anything about it, Dan Burn (Steve Carell) is a newpaper columnist and the father of 3 girls. His wife died a fews year ago and he is struggling to be a father to his children. Dan packs he and his daughters up for an annual family gathering that includes his parents and his brothers and sisters families. It’s apparent to his mother that he is struggling with his daughters and escapes for the morning to a local bookstore. There he meets an intriguing woman he is looking for a book to help her cope through an awkward time. The
